The Case of the Missing Hair Bow

I love my hair bows, I think they make me even cuter! Of course, I am still on hair bow watch because of my tendency to steal and mouth them. But when I am being monitored and out on the town I wear my hair bow proudly! The question is, how do Mom and Dad lose them?? I had to restock my supply yesterday. I think my new pink and brown stripe bow makes me look rather preppy. Even in my PJs!
Well, I was perfecting my "snapping turtle" move today while eating breakfast. A very quick manuever where I grab my peas off the spoon. Hard to capture on camera. Looking forward to a fun day in Ann Arbor with Mom and Dad!

Standing and Lindsey Visit

This past few days I've been very excited to practice standing! I even did some video chatting with Grandpa and Grandma Hiatt and showed them my skills.
Most of the time Mom and Dad are around for "backup", but they snuck away to get some good pictures.
My friend Sara gave me some glasses. With the orange lenses I think I look like Bono.
When Mom and Dad were making dinner on Saturday I was in the living room just laughing away. When they investigated they found me playing with my buddy Obi.
Sunday afternoon Dad went to a Walleye hockey game with Jim. I had a girl's day and hung out with Mom, Lori and Lindsey. We all adventured out for a dinner at Applebee's. I enjoyed my trip and was tired by the end of the day.
This is my buddy Grant. He also has interesting feet like my buddy Obi. Of course when Grant stands up I can't get to his tail.
Grant peeking in on little Lindsey!
I liked watching Lindsey in her bouncer. It had lots of buttons to poke, which I did! What a fun visit, can't wait to do it again.....

Columbus Visit and 11 Months

This last weekend I went down to Columbus to see my buddy Parker. We had a great time and took advantage of some of the nice weather. Lots of BBQing, playing with the puppies, rolling around on the floor and much more!
This was Parker showing off her long johns. Very cute!
I made a discovery this last weekend....I can CRAWL! Although I am still working on all of the logistics. I don't get too many points for style because I kind of plow my head on the ground when I am moving forward. But hey, it's a start!
We snuck in some sitting on a bed time at a model home that Matt and Amy were looking at. Maybe building a house in their future!?!? There was also a shower big enough to get four adults and two babies in it!
We had two trips to the park over the weekend. It was in the 60s and the swings were hopping! Dad was disappointed that I didn't get to swing, but we didn't feel like waiting in line. I did get to see some dock diving dogs which was pretty fun to watch though.
Parker snuck in a little nap while I kicked my legs around most of the walk.
So this past weekend I also turned 11 months old! I also had my third tooth pop through on the middle top left and Mom says she can see the top right coming soon.
Me posing for Mom!
Parker's spacechair and her fun toys (which she lets me borrow).
But some of my favorite toys are just paper bags and kitchen utensils!! The rest of this week has flown by. I've been a little cranky, but I think that once this other tooth breaks free I'll be fine. I've also been in the mood to point at things lately. Maybe even pointing at Dad when Mom asks me, "where's daddy?" Plus, I snuck in a few waves at people at the store this past week. All of these fun new activities to practice!!

Indiana Visit!

This past Friday we packed up the family and went on my longest road trip yet! It's a fairly long trip and with a nice lunch stop and some country road touring we arrived early afternoon at Grandpa and Grandma Jackson's house. I did really well for Mom and Dad, minus the last ten minutes where I went into total freak-out mode. They even tried to bribe me with my favorite song and some wild singing, but I really just wanted carseat freedom!
This is me peeking over my seat at Mom and Dad.
We stopped at Culver's for lunch. I could hardly concentrate on eating with all of the excitement going on around me!
Grandma and Grandpa had a box of goodies all ready for me! I especially liked the ball, which made for really good licking. I was excited to bring it home with me.
As a growing baby, I travel with my own personal portable highchair.
Some relaxing with Mom. I've discovered that kitchen utensils make great toys. They also can be swung wildly at both people and animals. Poor Kami, the kitty, had to hide from me the whole weekend. Apparently, she's not fond of us little people!
All of the traveling really made me tired. Of course Grandma was more than willing to hold me!
It's not as bad as it looks. I was actually very excited to play in my box....just for a second :)
Saturday we went on a ride into Amish country. I went to my first buffet and tried macaroni and cheese, potatoes, corn muffin, and mushrooms. I was a very messy girl, which seems to be my newest stage of eating these days.
Since we all traveled together, Mom and Grandma sat in the backseat with me. I can't always be happy in the car and don't like it when I can't get picked up and snuggled.
Hanging with Grandpa before it's bedtime.
Daylight's saving's has messed me up a little. I took a really early nap on Sunday. After some complaining, Mom came in and found me asleep. She should know that I can't sleep with my socks on!
My visit with Grandpa and Grandma just flew by! I'm excited to see them again soon!
On the way out of town we stopped by Great Grandma Jackson's house. She liked holding me and I played with her stuffed animals.
On the ride home I was a trooper. Snuck a nap in and ate in the car. By the time we got home I was tired, but not too tired to roll on the floor and enjoy my bath.
This morning I was a big sleepyhead. Dad and I had to go pick up Obi from the farm where he vacations. I didn't want to get up, still recovering from my busy weekend.
This was my Obi picking up outfit. PJs were declared okay since it was an early morning trip. I loved seeing my puppy again. Of course he was tired out and opted to sleep most of the day away...what a fabulous weekend for all!
