Week with Grandma and Grandpa....

I've been off the radar because I had a really busy week with Grandma and Grandpa Hiatt in town. I went with Mom to pick them up last Saturday at the Detroit Airport and the week just flew by! As usual, I had a good time showing them my new tricks and taking some trips around town.
I think I am officially saying "no" to morning naps these days. I'll sit in my crib long enough for Mom or Dad to get a shower, but I prefer to play and sing rather than nap!
Grandpa and Grandma brought me a new fall wardrobe! Good thing since our weather has turned from the 80s to 60s. Guess I should be wearing pants these days :)
I hear that Mom really likes yoga, I think that I take after her. Since I've been walking I'm experimenting with how to stand up from a sitting position. This is one of many methods!
Last Sunday I took Grandpa and Grandma to a local farm in Michigan. Lots of animals and activities! I liked the goat quite a bit.
There were all sorts of pumpkins and gourds for sale. I got my very own little mini pumpkin!
Maybe next year I can do the pony ride???
I split a cinnamon and sugar donut with Mom. Even looked in the bag to see if there was more, I liked it so much. Then the mood struck me to dance (there was music for a limbo game). I've been really observant about music in the background. I danced for Grandma and Grandpa when the ice cream truck was in our neighborhood and when the high school band was practicing!
Lots of fun bath times!
Tuesday I took an international journey up to Windsor, Canada. The weather was beautiful so we ate along the waterfront.
This is the view of Detroit from Windsor.
Found some of the coolest playgrounds in Canada. I had a fun time playing and by the time I was finished I was red faced.
Riding the cars.
Swings in Amherstburg (about 30 minutes outside of Windsor).
Amherstburg also had lots of nice walkways around the water and ice cream!!!!
Didn't have the camera with us, but I took a trip to the Toledo Zoo. The animals all seemed to be out and playful. Really liked the seals, baby polar bear, elephants, and aquarium. Here I am playing at home with Grandma and my Peanuts balloon.
My walking travels now take me all over the neighborhood. I walked back and forth several times and pooped out on the way home, thankfully I got a carry home. One day Grandma and Grandpa watched me so Mom and Dad could go out. They went to see a movie and had dinner. I think that Grandpa and Grandma thought they came home too early, they were having so much fun with me!
Mom and Dad had been looking for a bike trailer for a while, after my Michigan trip and bike experience in August. Luckily, a friend of Mom's from work was selling hers. So this is my new ride! It has pockets inside that I can fill with my goodies! Books, snacks, blankets...
This was my first ride! Hit the university trail and had a good time.
Hanging with Grandma and Grandpa.
This was my second bike trip. Grandma and Grandpa took me on the trail almost to Wildwood park. My hat kept sliding down and they had to rescue me from it!
Modeling some of my new Fall attire. Really like the purples and blues!
This past week I also went out and bought my Halloween costume. I'm going to be Piglet. Picked this because Piglet is on my toothbrush and I LOVE looking at him!
Piglet with Piglet!
Well, the house is quiet. Grandpa and Grandma finally made it home yesterday after all sorts of delays in Minneapolis. Mom and Dad have cleaned and I thought I would do my part by rearranging the kitchen........earlier I did a good job unfolding all of their laundry too. Gotta stay busy!!!

Quick Update!

This last week just flew by! I don't know where the time went.... I have continued my quest of walking. Actually making it quite a challenge for Mom and Dad. Especially in containment situations, i.e. shopping carts (or as I like to call them torture devices). This pic was from last week's Pig Roast at Sean's house. My buddy Ava and I had lots of fun playing under the table! It was safer under the table then lots of other spots, I guess the house isn't quite "baby friendly." I thought it was FABULOUS!
I also spent the week making all sorts of phone calls. My office is mobile.
No surface is left untouched by my little fingers! Obi and I are competing for who can mark up more windows...
As always, I enjoy a good book. I like this one a lot because there are animal sounds!

Well, I should have some good pics to share shortly. I spent the day with Dad getting a few things ready for Grandpa and Grandma Hiatt's arrival. Mom was at work but got home around four. We go to the airport in less than two hours now!!!

For all my walking fans...

I guess people have been enjoying my last walking video, well, I'm back!

I spent all weekend practicing walking around little kids, and this morning when I woke up, I decided it was time to just quit the waiting game. Today, I have walked more than monkey-scooted. I am officially a walker.

Playing!

Now that I'm feeling better I'm catching up for lost time...
After Mom got home from work she was so excited to see me that she flipped me upside down! I think that I may be a thrill seeker or ride fanatic when I grow up.
I also enjoyed some goofing off time with Dad and Obi on the floor.
Up close and personal!
Now that my hair is getting longer I've been experimenting with TWO hair clips!
I thought this outfit was pretty trendy. My little coat and new tennis shoes!
I have some WILD curls these days.
I helped Mom clean some things out of my cabinet in my room. I have decided that I like my hair bows in my hair and not in my mouth. So I kept giving bows to Mom to put in my hair. It's hard to tell here, but I had 5 or more bows in my hair!
Tonight Dad ran out and it was just Mom and I. After dinner (I don't like salmon - fed most of it to Obi, who does indeed like salmon), we put on our hoodies and took a walk. Starting to feel more like Fall!
Both Obi and I were ready to go!
I was clapping.....hard to capture in a picture.
After a fun walk and meet up with my neighbor buddy, Samantha, I had a very splashy bath. I was still too excited to go to bed and had to play some more. I picked my Pigeon book out for bed tonight. It's been a favorite lately! Can't wait to share the weekend with Mom and Dad!

Still on the Mend

Well, I never heard back from my doctor on Saturday. So we aren't sure what kind of bug I really had...but I just haven't been 100% yet. I am feeling better enough to try and eat more. Got to keep your strength up!
I always like breakfast. This time Mom put extra jelly on my toast and it was VERY sticky!
Sometimes I'm in the mood to play, but I can turn quickly!
Today I went to Wildwood with Mom for some swings and climbing around. I wasn't too interested in the slide, but I wanted to go up and down the steps a lot. Then we had to go buy Obi's food and I enjoyed seeing all of the fish in the tanks. It has been a cooler day. No air needed, we can actually have the windows open! I think it's time to start using my snuggly blankets again!!

Fever!

Well, I've been running hot since Tuesday...lots of tylenol and motrin. Thursday I hit a personal all-time high of 104 degrees! Mom picked me up, called the doctor, Dad threw some clothes on me and we were out the door. No ear infection, no strep, but possible UTI. I got some antibiotic shots and we were on our way. The whole office commented on just how loud I could carry on!

The rest of the day was spent napping, whining/crying, and going for a few rides (which calmed me down). I also got to indulge in things I don't normally do...because I was sad and sick looking. Mom and Dad took me to Sonic for ice cream and even let me watch some TV before bed. Breaking all the rules!
Drinking my juice and watching TV with my puppy and Dad.
Lots of toplessness around the house and even a car ride!
Had a recheck at the doctor's office today. Another round of shots and still waiting on the final results from the urine test. But I am feeling much better today. At least I tried to eat some of my meals and didn't push away all of my food. The weekend's plans have been adjusted, more hanging out and just resting up. All in all feeling much more chipper today. Spent some time giving Obi a run for his money!
