Super May Catch-Up

I hope you have a second, sit down and catch up on the happenings around our house.........
The weather was hotter earlier in May and now we have had a few cold days and nights.  Can't decide if we need to turn on our air or our heat these days.
This was Evie's first round in the bucket swing at Pacesetter park this year.  We have a swing for the playground in our backyard too.  She seems to really enjoy swinging alongside her big sister.
We took a long walk in the stroller to the new watertower that they are building and the fossil park.  Natalie wanted to walk on her own after I had done all of the pushing up the hills!
 Happy Evie :)
Here we are celebrating Mom's birthday.  Nat likes any occasion that calls for a party hat.
Evie did pretty good with her hat too.
Trying to get two kids to look at you for a decent picture is near impossible!
 Crazy eyes!!
Thanks Coco for my fabulous Adam Levine bookmark.  It's truly one of a kind!!
Apparently, Nat is more upset about me turning 34 than I am!
The annual touch a truck event at Epworth had decent weather.  We met the Roberts for brunch before and then the girls went out exploring.  This was a pedicab, Nat and Lindsey took a ride with Aaron around the parking lot.
This looked like a really bad idea, but they let them climb all the way up to where the cherry picker basket was.  The girls both got in, but were too short to be seen once they were in it!
 Drive Nat!
The moving van proved to be a favorite for burning off some energy...
Cheerios.....the perfect appetizer when mom and dad are trying to get food ready!
Grilled cheese and tomato soup, a family favorite.......
Evie likes her green beans and grilled cheese too.  No more baby food at our house these days!
If you look hard you may be able to spot a few teeth!  There are three in and visible, but they are quickly multiplying...
Chef Nat to the rescue.
More party hats.  This time we had a family night at the library celebrating Sesame Street.
Here Nat is with her buddy Eve.  They love to get each other riled up.  I think that this picture says it all!
Pin the nose on the Elmo.
A pinata....really, who thought this was a good idea????
Most of the group was immobile for about two seconds so we could get a group picture.
Nat is leaving me all sorts of messages these days.........
Happy 7th birthday Obi!  That's right, just relax!
Before the weather got cold again we had a fun outdoor Sunday..........just got this little tent for shade, love it!
Forget the swimsuits, Evie was adventurous with the sprinkler.
Evie and Nat playing pass the rock.
Plants for Miss Julie and Miss Heather.........yup it's the last day of preschool!
Here I am with Miss Heather and Miss Julie...
 Evie eating, in the hood.
Evie isn't quite up to big playground equipment, so we pulled this one out of the basement.  She was exploring the tunnels and door.
That's it for now!!  Hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend!!!!

Back in Time..........

It is a little overdue, but it must be noted that Natalie is now FOUR YEARS OLD!!!  It's been a busy month up to turning four.  A trip out to Seattle followed by the Daniels visit/Easter in Toledo followed by another trip to Florida for a work conference.  I think we are going to take a break from traveling for a bit!!!
Evie was checking to see which shoes/hats were too small.  She is looking forward to trying out her new spring/summer wardrobe.  That is if it ever gets warm!
Natalie had a birthday miracle, it snowed on April 20th!  She was very excited to see that when she got up on her birthday morning.
As usual, lots of cupcake fun for her birthday.
There were plenty of friends to help her celebrate.  The Niemans came up, Lindsey, the Vandenbroek twins, the Cable twins, Eve and Sam from the library........quite the crew!
Present opening was lots of fun this year.
Natalie did a great job blowing out her cupcake candles.  It was an Olivia theme, lots of pink and reds :)
Here Lindsey and Natalie were discussing their new hair salon.  Natalie got a great Disney princess hair set from Lindsey.
It's impossible to get a picture with everyone, but here were most of the kids :)
The after-party included a balloon punch fest.
After a quick dinner (hey, really we were eating all day), we got a Skype in with Grandma and Grandpa Hiatt for present opening.  She got some new princess sheets, kid's encylopedia books, and a Tag book about the human body.
Hey, it's my birthday.  Of course I want another cupcake and candles!
Thanks groupon for some awesome lanterns!  They were much bigger than we thought and went up pretty fast.  Can't wait to send some up Rapunzel style for Evie's birthday too!
What a perfect day!  Nat's lantern is probably over Pacesetter park by now!!!!
