Magnum and Higgins

This weekend was the annual Robert's summer party in the Point. The theme this year was classic TV characters. There was everything from MASH, Three's Company, Flintstones, and more! Dad was in charge of our costumes...he was so busy with Mom and mine that he had to go as himself. Here was the inspiration for our costumes:
So Mom was Magnum PI and I was her trusty sidekick Higgins. I even had a dog like Higgins although I didn't really want to spend the night carrying it around. Mom got ready to go for the party and came to get me from my afternoon nap. Needless to say, I wasn't really excited about the moustache! I was even less excited to have my own moustache!
Quite the pair!
Higgins on snack break.
Higgins and Urkel.
I had a great time at the party. Lots of babies to visit and I practiced walking all around the yard. I even got to swing some. The night ended with fireworks and I loved watching all of the bright and pretty colors. Even the loud booms didn't upset me. A great time with all of Mom and Dad's friends!

Father's Day and Henry Visit

It's hard to believe that it was Dad's 2nd Father's Day! We had a pretty mellow day...
I was interested in the wrapping paper.
I got Dad Star Wars cookie cutters. We need to have some time to make them, hopefully this weekend!
We had subs for lunch and went for a family walk to celebrate Father's Day.

This past week has been REALLY busy! Mom worked Monday and then Dad had us all packed up and we drove down to Columbus Monday night. The Johnsons were in town from Colorado so we had a day to visit.
This is my buddy Henry. He's going to be 2 in August!
Tuesday we went to the park. It was too hot to spend much time in the sun and the swing seats were toasty. So all of the Moms sat down first and we were on their laps.
Henry and his mom Katie.
Me and Parker hanging out in some shade.
After the park we wanted to go swimming. Unfortunately, the pool in the backyard was full of spiders and it was decided that was out. So the girls got into Amy's big bathtub. It was almost as much fun as the pool!

It was a fun visit, although way too short. We had to drive home Tuesday night because Mom worked Wednesday.
Here's me tonight. I took a way too short afternoon nap and was a little cranky. But it turned out I was excited to go for a walk with Mom and Obi!

Waking up with a purpose...

It's the middle of the night and I usually don't take the time to post at such times.... In fact, I've been a pretty good sleeper these days. This brought back memories for Mom and Dad! Oh well, maybe it's my cold. But a glass of milk and rocking (standing not in the chair mind you) helped me out some. Then it was back to bed for me, hugging my little dog and blanket.

The good news though is that Mom was able to finally book airfare in the middle of the night for our July Seattle trip. Yup, it's official! Can't wait!!
Sick (now), but coming soon to Seattle to get you!

Kicking Around

Here I was with Dad showing off! I liked my pool time and floated around for quite a while. I was pruney!

Party Saturday!

My buddy Jacob had his 5th birthday party this past Saturday. It was at a local gymnastics building. Lots to do! I liked walking on the different textured mats and Mom and Dad helped me play on some of the bigger stuff.
Me posing on one of the mats.
Dad really wanted me to try the pommel horse.
Practicing my moves...
I got a taste of the sugar and Dad got my nose!
I finished up my busy day with a swim in Jacob's pool! I started off with a little dip with Mom.
And then moved on to advanced swimming techniques with Dad!

Saturday was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, today everyone got up and realized we have a cold. Nothing like being sick as a family! Here's hoping to a quick recovery....since I still haven't figured out how to blow my nose!

Tag!

A fair amount of my time is spent these days cruising around the house. I like to go under tables and around corners. This morning I played peek-a-boo with Obi, looking around the wall and getting excited when he was there. But as you can see, sometimes I make it hard for Obi to relax...of course he still has Mom and Dad's bed, which I can't get up onto yet!

Tooth Watch 2010

Last count I was at 7 teeth...number 8 is working it's way in (bottom left). That and there is some progress on my molars. Swollen, not fun! I have found that I like cold watermelon on my gums....
Still like my books at bedtime. I have been reading a lot of my Pigeon books, The Hound from the Pound, and the Monster at the End of the Book. I think that I'm starting to really remember the plots. I like to laugh/smile when Mom and Dad make the funny noises!
What you looking at?
Baby swans that I saw with Dad at the park last week.
Dad and I!
I put on my sparkly pink shoes today for errands with Mom. They were a big hit! I spent a lot of today scooting around the house. You would think that would make me really tired, but I didn't want a morning nap. Needless to say, I was kind of a mess by the afternoon. But I made up for it by being pretty fun later on. Had a nice walk with Mom and Obi, gave Dad a really big hug before his volleyball (and burped avodcado in his face), had a fun bath and then it was time for bed. Where does the day go???

America's Got Talent

Unfortunately, I'll only do this trick on command for Auntie Courtiepoo!

Splash Zone!

It's been a long time coming, but finally Mom helped me upload a video. We started with a short one so the computer wouldn't explode!

Memorial Day Weekend

I went to Columbus to visit my buddy Parker. She's really growing now and I had a hard time chasing her (some quick crawling). We had a nice relaxed weekend and got to enjoy the weather!
It was pretty hot a few days. Even though we took a walk on the water I still look kind of droopy.
Parker's Mom, Amy, was extra nice and went out and bought us a pool. It was Parker's first try and my second. The first night the water was cooler and Parker didn't enjoy that much.
After a failed attempt, Parker enjoyed some cuddle time with her Dad instead.
Here's an example of Parker's great crawl position. Something I never really learned...
Day two in the pool was fabulous! We both enjoyed the warmer water and splashed like crazy. Parker was a little crazy. Her swimming technique involved crawling, which got to be difficult in the deep end. We were going to go swimming on Monday too but we had thunderstorms come through.
Matt, Amy, and Parker - a perfect pic!
Here I am with Dad. I was excited to go to the park!
I got to swing with both Mom and Dad and go down the slide with Dad. We also had the puppies along with us, so we took a quick walk before it started to rain. All in all a great weekend! I even coordinated naps with Parker so our parents could get some games in!!

Now that I'm back at home there is always something fun to do. Today I stood by myself for a second before I fell backwards onto my butt. I think that walking will be coming soon! I also had a bath last night that was especially exuberant, probably thanks to my pool training. Mom and Dad spent today trying to keep me off the carpets because they had just cleaned them. That's not too bad for me, since the basement is a fun play spot! Until next time...
